In 2021, Hugo spearheaded GameUp Africa, a five-month bootcamp for entry-level and aspiring game developers from across the continent. In 2024, Maliyo Games made history as the first ever African-based developer to collaborate with Disney Games on a tie-in for the Disney Iwájú Rising Chef mobile game. Other major titles from the studio include Aboki Run and Whot King.
